As a key innovator for this company, I have senior responsibility for the design requests of the company's major clients, which include; Vodafone, V&A Museum, LSE and Orange. Since joining Planet I have introduced 3D Visualisations & Walkthroughs as a major part of any presentation. Client meetings are essential to both determine their needs and suggest alternative via the use of new techniques.

I constantly research the latest advances in hardware and software to keep myself one step ahead, allowing me to improve the company's level of presentation; currently I am exploring the Maxwell rendering system. Information gained here is passed on to junior members of the team during regular training sessions.

Sole operator of Softimage|XSI v4.2, Softimage|3D 4.0 (using "mental ray" renderer and XSI's built in compositor) and 3D Studio MAX v6; all used to create video walkthroughs, QTVR and photographic stills for client presentations.

Excellent Photoshop CS user. For both the creation of texture maps for Softimage / MAX, post production, touch-up and compositing work.

Here I led the development and implementation of moving the company's overall design emphasis from 2D plans and elevations to 3D presentations. In recognition of my work I was awarded the "Design and Technology Award" by Durham County Council.

Main software used was AutoCAD 2000, where I became fluent in both its 2D / 3D range of commands.

Established my own company for the expanding market of creative 3D computer graphics. I provide complex 3D modelling, creative 2D graphic design, near photographic output for product / Architectural design and post production services for clients. Software used includes Softimage|XSI & Adobe Photoshop.

CAD Designer for well established design company. Projects completed for clients included mainly photographic 3d visualisations with some 2d working drawings. Also responsible for the maintenance of the 20 station Novell Netware 4.1 / Windows 95 company network.

I have been a regular attendee of LEAF since it started and more recently SIGGRAPH in the USA. Knowledge gained at these conferences has enhanced my 3D animation and design technique greatly, constantly teaching me new and better 3D practices.

3 module course leading to a certificate in 3d computer graphics. Split into Modelling, Materials and Animation. Course objectives were to create a full understanding of this powerful 3d animation software.

Advanced Training Course; a 12 week evening course mastering the more complex architectural aspects of AutoCAD r12 and AEC 3.1. This is where I first started my involvement with 3d Studio (release 2).

First two years were common with Civil Engineering concentrating on formal structural calculations using complex mathematical formulae. The third year was spent on exchange at Pennsylvania State University, USA. The final year focused on a nine month project designing a multiplex cinema. Here I was a member of the fencing society.

3 GCE advanced level passes in Maths, Physics and Creative Design Technology.Here I was a keen member of the school hockey and volleyball teams.
